Alternative National Congress (ANC) Political Leader, Alexander B. Cummings, on Thursday, December 25, 2025, joined children of Montserrado County District #10 in celebrating Christmas, bringing joy, unity, and festive cheer to the community.
The event, held in the densely populated district, attracted hundreds of children who were treated to an afternoon of fun-filled activities, including the distribution of gifts, refreshments, music, and interactive games.
The celebration forms part of Mr. Cummings’ annual Christmas outreach, which aims to make the holiday season meaningful for children across Liberia.Speaking on behalf of his family and the ANC, Mr. Cummings described children as “precious jewels who represent the future of Liberia.”
He emphasized that the country’s long-term development depends largely on how well its young people are protected, educated, and empowered.
“Our children are our greatest treasure. The future we envision for Liberia depends on ensuring that every child has access to quality education, proper care, and the opportunity to dream,” Mr. Cummings said.
He reaffirmed the ANC’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote children’s welfare, stressing that the party remains focused on creating an enabling environment where all Liberian children—regardless of social or economic background—can thrive and reach their full potential.
Mr. Cummings also called on parents, community leaders, and national stakeholders to continue investing in children through love, mentorship, and responsible guidance, noting that nurturing the next generation is a shared responsibility essential to building a peaceful and prosperous Liberia.Residents of District #10 expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the celebration as timely and heartfelt.
Many parents thanked Mr. Cummings for remembering the district’s children and for consistently demonstrating compassion and leadership.
The event concluded with the distribution of Christmas packages and photo sessions, leaving the children excited and the community uplifted by the spirit of the season.
