In a tragic and shocking incident, the community of Compound-3 in Wee Statutory District, Grand Bassa County, is mourning the sudden death of Mohammed Toure, a 48-year-old man discovered lifeless in his fiancée’s room early Saturday morning.

According to reports from the fiancée, Finda Harlie, the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Saturday. She explained that Mohammed Toure had begun feeling unwell, exhibiting signs of discomfort and shivering. He requested to use the bathroom, and after returning to the room, Finda heard a loud sound, resembling a fall, at the door.

Rushing to investigate, she found Muhammad lying helplessly on the ground, with foam coming from his mouth and blood flowing from his nose. Finda immediately tried to assist him by bringing him into the room and seeking help from neighbors to transport him to a nearby health center. Sadly, despite her efforts, she returned to find that Toure had tragically passed away.

Adding an element of mystery to the case, Finda revealed that Muhammad had been notably secretive about his personal life. He was hesitant to introduce her to his family members or close friends, refused to provide contact information for anyone close to him, and warned her against touching his phone and bag, warning that she should blame herself for any consequences that might follow. The exact circumstances surrounding his sudden illness and subsequent death remain unclear.

Local authorities and police were promptly alerted to the situation, and a nurse from the Compound-3 Clinic was contacted to assist with the investigation. A medical report indicates that Muhammad Toure died as a result of pressure, although further details about what caused this pressure remain undisclosed.

Following thorough investigations and discussions with the community, the police have handed over Toure’s body to the Kissi and Muslim communities for burial. As of now, no immediate family members have been identified.
