That transition paid dividends during the 2025/2026 football season as Watanga FC secured the Liberian national league crown with an impressive campaign totaling 55 points, finishing the season as champions with a game remaining.

Originally from Maryland County in southeastern Liberia, Geekor’s football influence stretches beyond club competition and deep into Liberia’s grassroots development structures.
His name became widely recognized during the 2016/2017 edition of the prestigious National County Sports Meet, Liberia’s largest domestic sporting festival, where he guided Maryland County’s celebrated Yellow and Green Boys to a historic Grand Final appearance.
The achievement remains one of the county’s most memorable football moments, as the team shocked many observers by defeating more established opponents through tactical discipline, unity, and homegrown talent development.
Under Geekor’s leadership, Maryland County cultivated a generation of promising footballers who later emerged as recognizable names in Liberian football.
Among the talents he helped nurture were Kelvin Allison, Patrick Salaypolay Williams, Patrick Dweh, and Aflah Allison, players who contributed significantly to Maryland County’s remarkable 2016/2017 campaign.
